Stage 1 – Preparing and Lodging Application – 1- 5 days Preparation of Head Start Application and filing with IP Australia Reviewing Assessment from IP Australia Trade Marks are registered in specific categories of goods and services. We will assist you in choosing suitable categories.

Government application fees (no GST) apply here Cost - $120 per mark per class
Stage 2 – Reviewing Assessment from IP Australia Within 5 business days we will receive an initial assessment from IP Australia which will set out any existing marks or other issues which could be a barrier from preventing you from achieving registration. We will review the assessment and have 48 hours to make any minor amendments to your application. We will be required to attend to payment of the Part 2 fee if: (a) The assessment received is positive; or (b) If you wish to allow yourself extra time to overcome any issues raised by the Examiner If you instruct us not to attend to payment of the Part 2 fees your application will be abandoned and no further work will be completed.

Stage 3 – Advertisement Your Trade Mark will be advertised in the Official Journal of Trade Marks for a period of 2 months, allowing third parties to oppose registration of your Trade Mark. If no oppositions to your Trade Mark are filed you will proceed to the registration phase.

Stage 4 – Registration Costs We will be required to make payment of the registration fees within 6 months from the advertisement date to allow a Certificate of Registration to be issued which we will forward to you for your records.
