My son was charged with Grievous Bodily Harm, was arrested and spent 9 months in remand. The DPP then dropped the charge to Assault Causing Bodily Harm. He did his own supreme court hearing, got bail and has been on it for 8 months. He has pleaded innocent and is fighting the charge on self defence as he was attacked by 2 men. The offence happened at a company Christmas party that had gone on for more than 12 hours. Heavy beer and spirits were served. Could the company be liable in any way?
