I am a tenant who subleased a room to a lady. 2 months ago, I accidentally transferred twice the bond to her. The online bank stalled and I thought it did not go through, so I transferred again. 

I reported to my bank who then spent 2 months pursuing her bank for refund but was unsuccessful. I also contacted her but she refused to return it and avoided my messages.  I reported to the police who contacted her. She lied about not knowing the incident but said she will return it that night but didn't.  I want to get my money back. Please advise on how I can pursue the matter without blowing my budget. It's a dead end with the bank, the police and ex-housemate.
