Brennan and his team will modernise legal practice.
Armed with a computing pedigree, along with a dual degree in a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws, Brennan has been able to use his understanding of modern day technologies and legal process to empower the current and next generation of lawyers with the tools to better serve their clients, and to allow the profession to better meet its goal of providing access to justice.
Brennan was the recipient of the 2012 Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria's Innovation Award for helping the Supreme Court of Victoria go 'paperless' with his work in the development of the Court's online case management system, RedCrest.
In 2013, LexisNexis published Brennan's book, ‘Best Practice in Construction Disputes: Avoidance, Management and Resolution’, which was a short-listed finalist for the prestigious LexisNexis Centenary Book Award. He was also awarded a PhD scholarship at Monash University Law School to explore the 'Future of Legal Practice in the Digital Age'.
Technical Manager RedCrest

RedCrest is the Supreme Court of Victoria's online case management system. After successfully implementing RedCrest for use in the Technology, Engineering and Construction (TEC) List, it was decided that RedCrest should be introduced to the Supreme Court's Commercial List. Brennan was awarded the Chief Justice's Innovation award for his work in RedCrest in 2012.
With the support of the Department of Innovation, Brennan has been retained to oversee RedCrest's further development. Brennan has contributed heavily to the technical specifications that have been adopted by this project.
Brennan also advises the Honourable Justice Vickery and the Chief Justice on matters relating to: - Technological solutions that can increase productivity for the Courts and the legal profession; and - Legal technology
