Prior to joining the Bar, I was the Class Actions Coordinator at the Supreme Court of Victoria. I worked closely with Justice Jack Forrest in the Kilmore East-Kinglake bushfire proceedings. I also assisted other Judges and Associate Justices in class actions concerning the Black Saturday bushfires, Bonsoy Milk, Thalidomide, Abalone Virus, Great Southern and Banksia.
I was previously Associate to Justice Tony Pagone, when his Honour was in charge of the Commercial Court at the Supreme Court and also sat in the Practice Court. I completed his legal internship at Galbally Rolfe.
I have experience in common law/personal injury, commercial law matters and coronial inquests. I have appeared in the Federal Circuit Court, Victorian Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates' Court, VCAT, VOCAT and Coroner's Court, including on country circuit.
I read with Simon McGregor and my senior mentor is Andrew Keogh SC.
I am the Secretary General of the International Commission of Jurists Victoria; a board member of the Flemington-Kensington Community Legal Centre; and a founding committee member of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association.
