I am a Director of Helix Legal working exclusively in construction and infrastructure law my entire career. I have extensive experience in all aspects of dispute resolution specifically construction projects which include claims under the security of payment legislation across Australia.
I am a skilled litigator having appeared across all jurisdictions and assisted many clients in striking a deal without the need for court. I have worked with leading national and international construction companies, major commercial and domestic builders, developers and project managers.
My ability to quickly comprehend complex construction and engineering concepts in combination with a solid legal and commercial background means I have contributed to the resolution of a number of complex construction disputes on favourable commercial terms for my clients.
I most recently provided legal support to the construction industry regulator, the Queensland Building and Constructions Commission giving me rare and valuable insights, enabling me to provide innovative and commercial solutions for our clients.
During my time in private practice, I was promoted to senior associate at a national firm with one of the largest specialist construction practices in Queensland. My experience in the resolution of disputes and years invested in security of payment work make me well placed to take Helix Legal into the future.

As a Senior Principal Lawyer, I advocated for the Commission in relation to administrative review proceedings in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and appellant proceedings in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
I also provided advice to the Commissioner, the Commission's Executive Leadership Team and staff in relation to various legal and operational issues and advised appropriate strategies and actions.
