Marcus Bagnall

Marcus is a corporate + commercial lawyer specialising in TMT, intellectual property and privacy. He acts for clients in innovative sectors such as telecoms, medical devices, pharma, edutech, fintech and social media in Australia and overseas.

His corporate experience includes private M&A transactions, fundraising, structuring and governance. His commercial experience includes acting in technology-focused outsourcing, procurement, cloud, development, complex integrations and transition arrangements and transactions. He also advises on IP licensing, protection and exploitation and privacy / data protection matters.

Marcus also advises entrepreneurs and investors in tech start-up and other early stage companies on their legal and commercial issues such as structuring, governance, incentive arrangements, fundraising, investments and exit.

Marcus joined Webb Henderson in May 2016. He was previously a Senior Associate at Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors in the corporate + commercial team and a solicitor at DLA Piper in the corporate, taxation and superannuation + funds teams.

Marcus was also an editor of Halsbury's Laws of Australia at LexisNexis and underwent officer training with the Australian Army Reserve.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Laws (UNSW) and a Master of Laws (Corporate, Commercial and Taxation) (UNSW).
