Terry is a skilled and practical lawyer who has worked with government agencies and both private and publically listed national and multinational companies across many different industries – in particular building and construction, IT and advertising and media.
Solving complex commercial problems is Terry’s specialty. He can always find a solution even where none seems to exist, especially in Credit Management, insolvency, and business structures.
Clients have referred many challenging matters to Terry since the commencement of the Personal Property and Securities Act (“the PPSA”). Terry has prepared General Security Agreements, drafted practical internal procedures to ensure successful results under the PPSA and has acted in unfair preference claims where perfected security interests have been claimed successfully as a defence.
Terry has regularly presented at seminars and conferences both in Australia and overseas and has chaired Trade Bureau meetings for over 20 years. He helped develop – and has delivered – the Australian Institute of Credit Management training and qualification courses and he is the author of several publications relating to legal and Credit Management issues.
