Janelle Moody

Janelle is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer (admitted 1996) with specialist expertise in the resources industry over the last 15 years. She has advised many private and public companies on the establishment of joint ventures and the disposal and acquisition of interests in major resources projects.

She is well known for her drafting expertise and produces tailored documents for complex commercial transactions. She is a document architect, paying attention to all facets of a transaction before formulating her advice and documents. Clients benefit from her considered and analytical approach.

Janelle has significant expertise in managing due diligence and major transactions, including scoping activities and reviewing material contracts, to ensure that timeframes and objectives are met. Her involvement ranges from providing foreign investment review board (FIRB) advice to drafting documentation and obtaining required approvals.

Janelle also draws on her resources industry knowledge to review various commercial agreements including marketing and sales agreements.

Other major commercial transactions that Janelle assists with include restructuring existing entities and structuring specific projects. She has drafted restructure documentation for various resources clients prior to their ASX listings.
